The term ashtakam (Sanskrit: अष्टकम्), also written as astakam, is derived from the Sanskrit word ashta, meaning "eight". It refers to a form of poetry, written in eight
stanzas. Originally these eight stanza poems were composed in glorification of the Supreme Lord of the universe, Sri Krishna & His enchanting activities. In many places in
India, these ashtakams are recited daily. These ashtakams are very purifying & surely will lead to eternity, knowledge and bliss.
