Surah An-Naba’ (Arab: النّبا , "Berita Besar") adalah surah ke-78 dalam al-Qur'an. Surah ini tergolong surah Makkiyah, terdiri atas 40 ayat. Dinamakan An Naba’ yang berarti
berita besar di ambil dari kata An Naba´ yang terdapat pada ayat 2 surat ini. Dinamai juga Amma yatasaa aluun diambil dari perkataan Amma yatasaa aluun yang terdapat pada ayat
1 surat ini.
Surah An Naba ini mempunyai nama lain yaitu: ‘Amma Yatasaa alun.
Al Hadits
An Naba Ayat 1:
Ibnu Jarir dan Ibnu Abi Hatim dari Hasan Al-Bashri menyebutkan, “Ketika Rasululllah diutus, kaum musyrikin saling bertanya di antara mereka. Di antara pertanyaan yang mereka
ajukan adalah mengenai hari terjadinya Kiamat.” Maka dari itu, turunlah ayat ini. (Lubabun Nuqul: 208)
An Naba Ayat 31:
Hadits riwayat Anas bin Malik r.a. dia berkata, “Ketika turun ayat,’Sesungguhnya Kami telah berikan kepadamu kemenangan yang nyata, supaya Allah memberi ampunan kepadamu,’
sampai pada firman-Nya,’Dan yang demikian itu adalah keberuntungan yang besar di sisi Allah.‘ Sepulang dari Hudaibiah, mereka digeluti rasa sedih bercampur gundah. Setelah
beliau menyembelih kurban di Hudaibiyah beliau bersabda,’Telah diturunkan kepadaku sebuah ayat lebih aku sukai daripada seluruh isi dunia.” (HR Muslim, 3341)
Sūrat an-Nabaʼ (Arabic: سورة النبأ, “The Tidings”, “The Announcement”) is the seventy-eighth chapter (sura) of the Quran with 40 verses. Its forty verses are divided into two
equal parts of twenty verses each. The first twenty are filled with the wonders of the worldly creation (the earth, plants, the peace of night shared by loving couples, the
mountains and rain). The latter twenty are filled with the eternal wonders and horrors of the next world with raging sinner (the Arabic root TGY "tageena" is used) being
punished starkly opposed with the rewarding of dutiful believers (the Arabic root WQY "mutaqeena" is employed as a poetic parataxis to TGY) in paradise.
The Surah derived its name from the word an-Naba in the second verse. This is not only a name but also a title of its subject matter, for Naba implies the news of Resurrection
and Hereafter and the whole Surah is devoted to the same theme.
